WHAT IS FIRESTONE RUBBERCOVER?
It is a rubber roof covering that is 100% waterproof, comes with a proven 50 year life expectancy and can be cold-applied to a variety of roof areas alleviating the need for heat or naked flames.
EPDM rubber ( ethylene propylene diene M-class rubber ) is an elastomer which is characterized by a wide range of applications. The E refers to Ethylene, P to Propylene, D to diene and M refers to its classification in ASTM standard D1418.
EPDM is used as a covering to waterproof roofs. It has the benefit that it does not pollute the runoff rainwater, which is of vital importance if the house owner wishes to use this water for personal sanitation/hygiene i.e. using a rainwater harvesting system.
